Officials told the CM that doing free registrations has benefited the poor people immensely. The CM explained that through the OTS scheme, the poor have so far benefited to the tune of Rs 400.55 crore in the form of free registrations. Tidco has benefited the poor by another Rs 1,230 crore through free registration of houses, officials said.
Officials told CM Jagan that the poor had never benefited in the form of free registrations in the past. The meeting was attended by Revenue Minister Dharmana Krishnadas, Excise Minister Narayana Swamy, Mines Minister Peddireddy Ramachandrareddy, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath, Forest and Environment Minister Balineni Srinivasareddy and CS Sameer Sharma.
