Parents of students are worried as they do not know how many people are currently covered under the Ammoodi scheme.
Many have already been disqualified from attending the sale. Orders have been issued to do eKYC to the latest student mother accounts in order to provide ammo assistance next month. With this, the education department is taking steps in that direction. However, many students 'mothers' names do not appear on the list.
So far the government has provided Ammoodi in two tranches but for various reasons many people across the district have not received help. In the joint district, 1.34 lakh people could not get help in 2019-20 due to various reasons. According to statistics, more than 5.58 lakh people were assisted in 2020-21, but 1.31 lakh people were on the ineligible list. He said steps would be taken to help them again if they provided the required documents regarding eligibility. Many of them are still wandering for help. Parents of students are now aware that thousands of people are being disqualified in the same way. Schools started on August 16 last year. The government has announced that there will be 130 working days from November 8 to the end of April, of which only 75 per cent will be attended by students. But initially held day classes with day off for a few months. Teachers' union leaders have long said that this would disqualify many from attending. Corina took no action to relax the clause. Given the current situation at the field level, it is estimated that twice as many people will be disqualified than last year.
The list goes on and on
Officials have initially estimated that 6.27 lakh students from Class I to Intermediate will receive Amma Odi assistance for the 2022-23 academic year. Arrangements are being made to deposit Rs 15,000 each in the accounts. The staff who went to do the eKYC of the mothers of the students are identifying several problems as per the list sent in the app prescribed by the secretariats wise in the joint district in this order. Mainly the details should come as soon as the Aadhaar number is registered as per the list of beneficiaries. But in many places the original name does not appear. These problems are arising in all the zones of the joint district like Bandaru, Gudur, Pedana, Challapalli and Gudlavalleru. Many problems have arisen at the field level as parents get a new rice card but do not register in the login and register the student Aadhaar instead of the mother Aadhaar. There has also been no sporadic student base update. While some of these issues are likely to be modified by local staff login, staff say the government has yet to make a decision to address some of the issues. Teachers are also bringing a number of issues to the attention of MEVs.
We are taking steps to provide sales assistance to all those who are eligible. We are setting up a technical team specifically to address technical issues identified while doing eKYC. The team members then take steps to resolve any issues then. Benefit everyone in accordance with government guidelines. No one needs to worry. We want to bring any issues to the attention of the authorities immediately.
